The Marshall Valvestate series of days gone by was an attempt to marry tube driven tone with solid state dependability.  The amp is driven by a single AX7 tube in the preamp section, with 2 footswitchable channels, onboard reverb, three band EQ,  and a 12” Celestion speaker.  The AVT50 is capable of shimmering cleans, as well as that trademark Marshall crunch and drive we’re all such great fans of.   A CD input, headphone output, and an emulated line output round out its features.  This would be an ideal pairing for a rock player who has champagne taste on a beer budget.
