Happy Halloween Month! Now that Summer is behind us, it's a good idea to start thinking about hunkering down for the winter with a new guitar by the couch. Don't ya think? First of all, we would like to take a moment to thank all of you for respecting our Covid protocols and masking without complaint. This has been difficult for all of us and we greatly appreciate your cooperation and good will. Thank you! Now, on with the regular programming. John has an interesting comparison of two versions of the same model guitar. One is a 1997 Taylor 612ce and the other is a 2021 Taylor 612ce with a baked top and V-Class bracing. In the electric world, Chris is comparing three Collings I-35s, each with different pickups. It's cool to hear how these pickups perform in similarly built guitars. In the category, "In Case You Missed It," we have posted a video of Chris sampling two of the new Collings 470JL models. These were a co-design with Collings and Julian Lage and they are incredible! On the live music front, John Cable will be at Madlife Stage and Studios in Woodstock,GA with Mark Miller on October 13th. John is taking the great Leah Calvert and Michael Smith (Smith and Calvert, the Dappled Grays) and the awesome Robert Green from the Georgia Mountain String Band on bass. Looks like a pretty good all-star lineup! Have a safe and happy Halloween!
